Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: AS a laborer, I would do what fed my family!. We used to think the Pyramids were built by slave labor!. not so sure about that now!. Perhaps the laborer and the Supervisor felt privileged to be taking part in such a grand undertaking!. At least at first!. It probably turned into a 'job' , a task that you would not see the finish of in your life time but maybe your son or grandson would participate in it's completion!. So there would be pride in doing a good job!. So you might hear someone say "ya know,my great granddad was one of the people who died doing the first ten rows of this building!. my Granddad worked for twenty years and my Dad worked for almost thirty and look, here i am and we are almost finished!. I am proud of my family's work on this!." A supervisor would be concerned about meeting goals, and keeping production going!. lots more stress!. But more professional pride too!. "I remember that section, we ran out of hay to make bricks, the King was all kinds of bent out of shape, but we found we could do the same thing with dried river weed!. --not the kind ya smoke, idiot, water reeds, dried an' chopped up!. Can't tell can ya!? We came up with lots of ideas that saved money over the years!. Think anyone noticed!? oh yeah, the yearly dividend!. Right!.!. sure!.!. " And when trouble comes, who do they call to bail them out!? " Pharaoh Get this in gear!. We are still working on my grandfathers tomb!. He has been gone nearly twenty years Dad is gone for over five years now and he is sharing space with Grandma!. Favorite son!. works for me, we never really got along!. the workers are busy on my tomb!. They work like I will live forever!. Maybe that is a good thing!. I will ask the architect to make a few more changes, the supervisors go all kinds of funny colors and twitch when we do that!. Not much else to do, my Ministers take care of business and I just have to wear that funny hat and itchy tie on beard!. Www@QuestionHome@Com The labourers might have wished for easier work, but they were at least fed and housed while they were working on the pyramids!. Still, you would think they might have got fed up with it from time to time!. However, they may have felt that it was in a good cause, since most of them would have believed in the divinity of the Pharoah and the importance of providin ghim with a suitably magnificent tomb!. The supervisor would presumably just have been keen to get the job done as efficiently as possible and please his emplyers!. And the pharoah would be anxious for his tomb to be built in time for his demise!.Www@QuestionHome@Com as a labourer, i'd be happy that i could feed my family!. as a supervisor, same thing!. as a Pharaoh, i'd simply be glad that my tomb is well under way and being completed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
