The flight data recorder or 'black box' as it is usually called records everything in an emergency when a plane is in flight!. Stuff like engine fire and failure, hijacking, or if it suddenly depressurizes!. All I'm saying is what if the black boxes were recovered from ground zero!? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The Flight Recorders were recovered from three of the four flights, including both WTC flights!. So far, none of the data has been released by the NTSB!. Given the numerous other questions surrounding the events of 9/11, especially structural questions about WTC, it is unlikely the flight recorders will change most people's opinions!. http://911research!.wtc7!.net/planes/evide!.!.!. I highly doubt it, because when dealing with conspiracy theorists, whatever evidence you throw out there is usually dismissed with a "oh, that was falsified by the government" or something along those lines!. I mean, we all saw the film of the airplane being deliberately aimed at the remaining WTC tower -- that was not a malfunction!. It may have helped clear up minor questions of exactly when the terrorists took over the plane, etc!., but by the telephone calls from those victims onboard the planes, that has already been pretty much pinpointed, too!.
