Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, that makes alot of presumptions, which likely wouldn't have come to pass no matter what!. But some things would be similar!. There would still be something like a senate and something more amenable to larger numbers of people, like a general assembly of the empire!. One could make a VERY compelling argument that in fact, the focus of European power merely shifted, and that while the names changed, the idea of Eurocentrism is in fact the modern variant of the empire!. I always loved the Star Trek Episode where that's exactly what happened , Rome became the world empire!. But in all seriousness, The world would largely have been divided up into two or three major segments!. A Roman Empire, probably consisting of everything in Western Eurasia and Africa, and an Asian Chinese Empire, as well as perhaps an Indian Empire, based upon the Hindu or Islamic faith!. As far as the Americas are concerned, it's possible that internal imperial central control would have had the same effect in an alternate Rome as in China, and perhaps the Americas were not discovered until much later in history!. That being the case, Perhaps the Inca or Aztec Empire might also still exist in such a world!.
