Question: Where human remains ever found inside the wreck of the Titanic!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
"The main component of bone is Calcium Carbonate (which is laid down by cells called osteocytes)!. In the water in which Titanic rests, conditions are such that the Calcium would be leached out of the bones over time!. The Carbon (bound up as carbonate) would then hydrolyze to HCO3 and dissolve into the water as Carbonic Acid!. This would have taken a few years, but it would have removed all traces of hard bone!. Remnants of other elements (such as Phosphorus) may have remained for a bit, but would have been quickly utilised by heterophytic micro-organisms (heterophytic means able to feed on inorganic compounds)!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

They chose not to disturb the remains if there were any left- speculation only at this time- those who know are not allowed to tell!. This was for all the family members still alive- it is a grave sight- many ships that wreck and people are lost at sea- have this!. The edmund fitzgerald is one- they have dived the sight but for the sake of the families do not disturb the bodies where they rest(I believe)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not aware of any - although it's not impossible!.
They haven't searched every inch of the wreckage as of yet AND,if they do find remains, I don't think we'd know!.
Let's let them rest in peace, shall we!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If they did they wouldn't say because they are selling stuff from the wreck and don't want any negative publicity- they don't want to be known as grave robbers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Titanic was found in 1985!. That means that whatever human remains were there, they had 70 something years to decay!. No human remains were found for that reason!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nowhere!. They'd all rotted to atoms in the intervening years!.

And I think you meant to say, "Were human remains !.!.!. !?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. It was too long after the wreck for there to even have the possibility of there being remains!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I son't think so, but I also heard somewhere that they can not disturb the wreck because it is a "grave site"Www@QuestionHome@Com
