FDR was the first president to take business by the horns and regulate them into fair play!. They though that unfettered free enterprise was the best thing to ever hit mankind, but we saw then, as now, that unfettered free enterprise gives us Microsoft products (Vista) that don't work, poison toothpaste (methanol), car tires (Firestone) that shred at speed and kill families, jet engines that flame out, killing pilots and passengers (General Electric), SUVs that are so poorly designed that they roll over (my Blazer), and too many other famous and infamous cases to name!.

FDR regulated business and demanded upon pain of prison, that business play by the rules!. The S!.E!.C!., the F!.D!.A, the Dept of Agriculture (meat inspection) and so many other regulators were all formed during FDR's administration!.

Ever since Reagan in the 1980s, though, the business world has been bribing and bypassing the regulators, and the US government let them, until we have the US economy in the mess that it is now!. The whole world may fall into depression on Monday, and it's the fault of the greedy businessmen, their greedy clients, and the US government that either took the money from bribes, or looked the other way during "de-regulation!."!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
