No, very much the opposite!. The North very nearly lost the Civil War despite having resources that were exponentially greater than the South!. Lincoln was at best poor, at worst atrocious at running a nation during war-time!. The civilian leadership of the South wasn't much better, but knew enough to let Lee do his work in peace!. Lincoln wanted hands-on control of battles he couldn't see, and nearly cost them the war!. Not that the North's generals could've done a lot better heh!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

no they sufferd from inadaquate man power and a dramatic lack of industrialization

the best generals (i think any student of history will agree with me on this ) were from the south with the exception of grant and sherman who were on the side of the union
the south came up with many inovations like the first iron clad and the first submarine to name a coupleWww@QuestionHome@Com

The North made some pretty bad gaffes, both sides did!. The North had vastly deeper resources to constantly use against the South!. The North was also extremely more industrialized!. The South had been counting on countries like France to supply their war efforts-never happened!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The South had better commanders!. However the North had better infrastructure and technology available to them!. Thus, in a "Modern War" they won!. Therefore, the North had the superior armed forces overall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
