In what ways are Florida, the southwest, and California still affected by their historical connections with Latin America!?

To begin with, thats where you find the greatest concentration of names for almost every location in Spanish, the names of the states themselves, mountains, rivers, cities, streets, etc!.
also, many hispanics live there!.
In recent decades, the war against Communism infiltration drove many refugees from Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, and other countries which formed whole communities segregating out people from the US itself, forming communities with their own special cultural background!.

The current proportion of Hispanic people in the south has a lot more to do with modern immigration (legal or otherwise) than it does with the descendants of legacy populations!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
