Question: How did the Baroque style and the Neoclassical style differ!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Baroque style is exemplified by drama, opulence and grandeur in sculpture, painting, literature, dance, and music!. It is "over the top" in terms of attempting to impress the viewer emotionally and expressing triumphant power and control!.

In contrast - the Neoclassical style is more limited to architecture and as a design aesthetic!. It has been considered as a reaction/backlash against the excesses of the Baroque!. In its purest form, Neoclassicism is a style principally derived from the architecture of Classical Greece!. Think cool and classical, restrained!.
