Question: Why did Hitler change "The German Workers party" to "The Nazi party"!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The "National Socialist" part was added in 1920 as a marketing gimmick, to make the group sound more progressive (and appeal to the left wing!)!.

Hitler didn't add it personally!. The German name for the party is Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, or "National Socialist German Workers' Party"!. In order to make really long words and names more easily pronounced, the Germans abbreviate, so NAtionalsoZIalistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei early on became abbreviated to NAZI Partei!.

It was also known for short as the NSDAP, but Nazi is so much easier to remember!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
