Malcolm's assassins, Talmadge Hayer, Norman 3X Butler and Thomas 15X Johnson were convicted of first-degree murder in March 1966!. The three men were all members of the Nation of Islam!.

They killed him because he left their religion and came to real Islam, they were afraid he was going to expose them so they killed him!. also Elijah Muhammad was jealous of his success and after Malcolm left the nation and came to traditional Islam which has no racism!. Elijah wanted him dead!. Malcolm was exposing how corrupted Elijah Muhammad and the nation really is!.
