Question: A little help please!! 10 pts!?
i know that the majority of people in the 1700 who lived in the chesapeak bay area and the new england area all originated from England!. My question is, why did the chesapeak area and new england area evolve into 2 diffrent societyies!? even though they came from the same area, new england and the chesapak bay were very diffrent!.!. why did they split!? was it motiations!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Part of it was religious!. Maryland, where the Chesapeake Bay is located (note spelling) was a prominent Catholic enclave, whereas New England was almost entirely Protestant!. Economic issues also played a part!. The economy of New England was largely based on shipping (the infamous "Triangle Trade"), whereas that of Maryland, Virginia, and the other Southern colonies was mainly agricultural!.
