Start with the period immediately following the end of the Seven Years War in 1763, move up through the Townsend Acts, the Stamp Act Congress, the Boston Massacre, Sons of Liberty, Boston Tea Party, the Quartering Act and the closing of Boston Port!. Include the response in other colonies (Patrick Henry and the Committee of Correspondence in Virginia), the first and second continental congresses, Common Sense by Tom Paine, the Battles of Lexington Concord and the Regulars withdrawal to Boston, Siege of Boston by militia, Bunker Hill, Congress adopts the army around Boston, Appoints Washington commander, Richard Henry Lee's resolution for independence, the Declaration of Independence and the succeeding war!.

It progresses from a dissatisfaction with taxation, a change of governments, from Whig to Tory, an inability to compromise, an inclination by some (including Sam Adams and Paul Revere) toward inflammatory posters, and results in a complete separation, as far as government is concerned between the two!.
