Question: The No Survivors Theory!?
listen I`m going to tell you a story and please try to answer this question ok here it goes!. Its called The No Survivors Theory! The colonists of Roanoke Colony were killed by the local native people, bent on revenge, or by the Spanish explorers who also wanted to colonize the same area!. Did either group have reason for killing the colonists!? Was there any evidence of murder!? Was there any sign of distress such as an engraved cross!? So can you just tell me what you think might of happen!. (each person that answers this question will at least get 1 thumbs up)Www@QuestionHome@Com

OK, hypothetically!.!.!.

The local tribes - In retaliation for the suspected theft of a silver cup, the colonists had burned a local chief to death!. I suspect that might have ticked the local natives off enough!.

The Spanish - the Anglo-Spanish war was in full swing, and the Spanish might well have wanted to prevent English claim to land in the New World!.

Evidence!? There were two skeleton's found in the colony sight, the defenses and the shelters had been taken apart, and the word Croatoan was carved in one tree, and Cro in another, but there was not the pre-set sign of distress (the maltese cross) anywhere to be found!. No real evidence of violence, to my mind!. Possibly an indication of disease and a removal of the surviving colonists to a nearby island (Croatoan)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
