Question: Do you feel weird at all!?
I don't get it and I'm very confused,
when did America become a police state and whats going on!.
Why are we spinning isses out of context!.

I know there is a larger theme, and it relates to history, but I don't understand whats driving the current state of affairs!.

for instance, I try to go online and look up information on abortion, because I firmly believe abortion should not be this super emotional thing women go through, and I believe its as simple as knowing you don't want a child and then not having one!. But why the emotions!? I think women are being pushed into feeling bad!.

And the surveillance!. What makes it okay to judge another person, and then what makes it "not okay"!. HOw do we know the lines!?

I need to study humanity and understand whats going on!. I know history repeats itself but Im still confused!.

I have no idea what this has to do with history unless you are asking about the relationship between the past and present!.

Anyway it seems to be there is a conflict today between two different ideas!. One is the freedom of information and the other is the desire to control society!. The internet is a kind of epoch of the information age, virtually anything can be found on there!. However this is of concern to several powerful people who feel they need to try and limit what people see!. China for instant has been blacking out sites like Youtube!. The conservative christians in the USA try to limit information on abortion and contraception!. Record companies try to sue people for downloading music!. They see the information age as people having too many rights without responsibilities!. But of course there is the opposite side to this too!. The power that be are using information to control society!. CCTV in almost every town!. DNA databases containing records of people who have never committed a crime!. Now every email, phone call etc is being logged by the state!.

Historically there is no precedent!. In 1815 the goverments of Europe tried to contain nationalist feeling with cencorship!. However such methods would not work in today's society where anyone can access anything at the click of a button!.

It can go either way!. Either we will become more like a police state with out every move being watched in the event that we do something "immoral" or we can fully embrace the information age and have complete access to all resources so we can make up our own minds on things!. How wonderfull it would have been had we got th see the "intilligence" behind the Iraq invasion!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes history has a big thing to do with it i think, but i think it is nature too!. the biggest factor is that all human beings want to survive, well except for the ones that commit or attempt suicide!. for the most part all the different types of people want to exist, and exist in their ideal sense of the world!. sense the dawn of society, civilization has set out to make our odds of survival that more likely, but the consequence is making us all fit a certain preset mold!. the conflict thus becomes whether to resist, change, or break the mold!. all people no matter what they believe, want to think they are right and know what is best for all, whether they act on it is a matter of personal taste!.

to comment individually on your speculation, women are emotional creatures period!. when pregnant it is nothing but an emotional roller coaster ride for nine months, and sometimes years afterwards!. having a baby to a woman IS a big deal, whether in a positive or negative light!.

the issue of abortion is a social communial one as well as personal!. it does effect our population in the long run, and some may fear that we could endanger the species if all women feel liberated to extinguish new life as they see fit!. some may think it is giving women a little too much power over life and death!. i honestly think it should a tribunal vote between woman man and doctor, as these are the primary people that deed will stain!.

there is also the question of when is it deemed murder!. personally, i see it as long as the thing is attached to you it is an extension of you, and you can do whatever the hell you feel is necessary to your personal survival!. its like a parasite, or amputating a limb!. i also dont think it should be used as a means of birth control!. i think if you have a certain amount of abortions you are then permanently fixed from ever having to worry about that little inconvenience of your life, but of course doctors, politicians and moral fanatics see that as morbid and abhorrent treatment of a person!.

however adoption is always a humane option, as well as an economical one!. do you have any idea how much desperate couples will pay for a new born!? oh yes, you could make a tidy profit if you do your research!. and what about selling tissue out to stem cell research groups!? but that in itself is a hairy line to tread as it comes dangerously close to the accepted buy and sell of human flesh!.

these are huge questions to consider, and i think a little emotion is good, a little humanity isnt such a bad thing to add in to the pot!.

i dont care for social organization on any mass level!. i think it is detrimental to our personal and broad species development, whether simply on an organic level but as well as a spiritual enlightenment thing!. but we are mere mortals of flesh and blood, merely intelligent animals, and it is apart of our chemical make up to organize ourselves to compare and to connect with those most like ourselves, and resist and fear those not like ourselves!. thus judgment on another human being is a necessary one!. however sadly as our population steadily increases, and our technology has the ability to wipe us all out it becomes even more necessary to set guidelines to all agree to find a common ground of basic rules of engagement just to coexist!.

yet as you asked where do you compromise!. what plane of existence should we meet on!? that is a hard question, and one we have struggled with and will continue to do so!.!.!. becuz there is always those people that think they know best, and are willing to use force to prove it!. yet if an option is extinguished in a generation or so who would disagree!? so are they truly wrong!? there is time when force, violence is necessary, abortion is as good an example as any!.

my only advice is to study all social issues, all vices of man, all walks of life!. talk to people you dont know!. read about things you would completely disagree with to understand why perhaps people believe the way they do!. walk this world with an open mind!. listen, and ask people questions!. in a life time you will only begin to scratch the surface of the human collective, but you might contribute something with your observations, that generations later will admire your courage for!.

yes i always feel weird!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
