Question: A 9/11/twin towers rescue question!?
Why didn't they send people up on to the roof of the twin towers who were above the fire, so that helicopters could pick them up and rescue them!? Or, send a rescue team onto the roof of the twin towers to go down and rescue those injured above the impact!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The fire prevented helicopters from getting there!. There NEVER was any plan- before the attack or during it- to rescue people by helicopter!.
First, there were several hundred people there!. At no more than 10 people per bird, that's too many trips to make! the people there KNEW that, so did not try to go to the roof- which doors were locked to prevent people going up there to begin with!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think NeoNerd has it correct!. The WTC had a problem with jumpers and, for insurance reasons, the roof doors were normally locked!. The smoke also made it dangerous to land helicopters!. They might have been considering it anyway, but the collapse of the buildings happened so quickly that many of the rescue efforts were still being implemented when it happened!.

One of my random thoughts was they could have dropped parachutes on the roof for people who dared to use them, but if the doors were locked it wouldn't have helped!. The jumpers would more than likely have been caught in the collapse, too!.

Prob!. safety issue as mentioned above , alot of ppl think to that 9-11 was somehow an inside job or government conspiracy, so they didnt go to beyond measures to rescue or maybe just how everything went down - never happened before so no plan on how to react!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The doors to the roof were padlocked, meaning that nobody could get up!. also, the smoke and danger of collapse made it unsafe for anybody to attempt a landing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the smoke meant that the helicopters could not land properly and they might have hit the poles!. also acces to the top floors was mainly cut offWww@QuestionHome@Com
