thats a crzy insane speech!. funny but crazyWww@QuestionHome@Com

You mean the old "man's ethical imaturity is as amazing as his ingenuity when applied to killing" argument!?

That stuff has been argued out in academic circles since ancient Greece; in China even, the philosopher Mencius talked about how "the intelligent make trouble for the world!." In Chinese, the philosopher Meng Tzu, the "successor" to Lao Tzu!. As a general rule to understand Daoist philosophy, you have to read what works survive from Lao Tzu, and the works of Meng Tzu, but they both talked about the same thing!.

also the whole idea of an arms race, was started way back when in ancient Greece, it became a particularly hot topic with Archimedes came into the picture!. Archimedes is famous for building a giant magnifying mirror, which worked on the same principle as a kid burning ants with a magnifying glass; he aimed that mirror at the roman navy and set the ships on fire!.

That whole argument is as old as time, when humanity had a clue as to what "time" was; Einstein didn't invent it!. The whole concept of arms races is not unique to major weapons, you see it in every aspect of human life!.

For example the world of martial arts; in China, the reason styles were kept secret, is because there is no such thing as a perfect technique!. If people knew what you practiced, they could, on observation and logic, figure out where a technique was weak!. The reason Gracie, Roycie Gracie, for instance, is "washed up," is because so many people have seen his vids because of his fame, he can't take anybody by surprise anymore!. You keep your martial art a secret, and no one can figure out your form's weaknesses!. That was the thinking of Chinese martial artists for centuries!.

See, in unarmed combat you have the problem of an "arms race;" the moment you come up with this style or that, someone will cook up a way to beat it!. We know Chinese Kung Fu is effective, because their "arms race" of unarmed combat techniques has gone on for nearly 2,000 years!. If you start at Shaolin, about 1,300, to be precise, although unarmed combat started sooner than that!.

For 1,300 years in China, martial arts schools have competed to outdo each other!. The effective principles remained, while the inefective ones died out; Chinese martial arts were, were MMA is now, 1,300 years ago, meaning, Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu actually has 1,000 years on MMA in terms of its "science!."

Westerners may ignore what became tradition in China all they like, it doesn't change the fact that the overpowering majority of martial artists in this country, unless they trained for years in China, at Shaolin, are no match for the Shaolin monks the modern temple produces!. Again, this has to do with the deadly "arms race" environment China had, because of rampant crime and centuries of lawlessness!.

China's problem, has never been war; its population would not have become a billion strong if the region had been as war torn as Europe!. However, one thing China has always been plagued by, is crime!. In fact, no other country, or culture in the world, has had as many criminals as China, that is one of the darker aspects of Chinese culture!. The reason Kung Fu is as refined as it is, the reason it is as well developed, and directly in tune with the principles of Physics, more so than western unarmed martial arts, has to do with the arms race of unarmed combat arts, and the high rates of crime over centuries!.

What this has to do with what Einstein said; Chinese Kung Fu has its terrifying potency, because of the "arms race" effect!. Now, what happens, when its not people striving for destructive power, but technology!? See, that was Einstein's concern; if unarmed combat could be taken to a level similar to Shaolin Kung Fu's, what happens when nuclear weapons are developed in that manner!?

food for thought man!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
