Question: Does anybody know about kids marching in France a long time ago!?

I have this vague memory of a History teacher telling me that children marched in France or somewhere in Europe a long time ago as a kind of demonstration!. It involved the church!. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Children's Crusade is the name given to a variety of fictional and factual events which happened in 1212 that combine some or all of these elements!.!.!.!.

Visions by a French or German boy
An intention to peacefully convert Muslims in the Holy Land to Christianity
Bands of children marching to Italy
Children being sold into slavery!.

A study published in 1977 cast a LOT doubt on the existence of these events and it is now generally accepted that they werent children at all but multiple bands of "wandering poor" in Germany and France, some of whom tried to reach the Holy Land and others who never intended to do so!.

But the fact of the matter WAS some people, INCLUDING children, were marching around in France in the year 1212!.!.!.and no body made it to the Holy Land!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
