Laos invasion of Cambodia!.

The passage of the Aboriginal Land Rights ActWww@QuestionHome@Com

1) The world energy crisis!.
2) The decline of the James Bond series!.
3) The major shift in Hollywood from studio system to independent production companies; this had a significant effect, believe it or not, in censorship laws!.
4) The closing of vietnam!.
5) The decline of educational standards in the U!.S!.
6) The "modern era" as we know it today coming full circle!. The truth is, even though their technological surroundings had changed, people's psychological attitudes, had not really changed that much over the past 2,000 years or so!. That is, when it came to core things such as gender roles, how a man should behave, etc, these things remained the same from Roman times until WWII!. With WWII, technology created a generation of people accustomed to having more knowledge than their ancestors did but being so empowered, they also became more selfish and arrogant than previous generations!. There was a true generation gap in the 1960's; the WWII generation was stuck with literally ancient ways of thinking, whereas the boomers were the first generation of children born into a technological world!. The ones that were kids in the 1970's, were the ones that established each successive generation thereafter as "the norm!." That is, what is considered "normal," is growing up around technology, high technology, and being educated!. If WWII people act different, it is because they belong to a completely different era of humanity!. An era when people were less selfish, and less arrogant, but also more naive, and way too trusting of human nature!. The reason humanity of era's past saw so many bloody wars, is because what few selfish arrogant people there were had ripe pickings which to exploit!. Now that the entire planet is crawling with selfish arrogant people, there is more competition to go around, so acquiring power, is that much harder!. It was in the 70's, that modernism had come full circle, when "the modern world" as we know it, was truly born!.
7) The first home computers; prior to the 1970's they were room filling monsters!. Did you know that the technology of a gameboy, Nintendo's original game boy, if taken back in time to Nazi Germany, if they reversed engineered, and applied to other things, it would be enough for them to conquer the world!? Nintendo's gameboy, that little battery powered "kid's toy," has more power, than all of the computers of WWII put together!.

The world changed dramatically after that war, people are clueless as to how much!. also, people changed!.

Some would argue, not necessarily for the better!. If you could combine the ethics of older generations, but with the world weariness of my generation (I'm world weary at 27!.!.!.!.!., going on 28 this winter), plus the education, you'd be in business!.

Ultimately though!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
