To you Israel may have been the greatest nation in the world at that time!. But to many others it is very different!. I myself believe the Greek cultures to be the greatest!.

All a matter of opinion!.

For the last guy, Greece may have been nothing, but I admire there entire civilization!. The trojan war was in year 1200BC, they may not have had a great civilization then but they were admirable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with everyone else, Israel wasn't much during the reign of David, in fact it wasn't much more then villages, it wasn't until Solomon that Israel started to get big, though never as big as Egypt, China, Rome, Greece, ect!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the answer you're looking for: "the supposed time of the reign of King David (and Saul)"!.

The truth: it wasn't!. It was the time of Egypt, the Zhou dynasty in China and the beginning of the Assyrian conquests!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Though I generally agree with Joe (and every other user to post so far), Greece in 1,000 BC was nothing!. Mycenaean civilization had collapsed and the so called Golden Age wouldn't come for another five and a half centuries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It wasn't!. Israel was never a great empire in the mold of Egypt or Assyria or Babylon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
