History are events that happened before now, and we want to study it because we are curious of how things came the way they are today!. For example, we are curious how the United States of America had formed!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

My History dept in college defined history as the study of change over time!. Obviously, things change over time, or not at all!. Historians research why this change happened (or did not happen)!.

WWII is always the silly example!. People learn a lot of dates and that stuff got blown up but Historians understand caused these things to happen!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
