I know the details: this president, as a boy, was so bright, he could recite the Declaration of Independence!. But he had an attitude, and he even tied his teacher up when he was in the bathroom and later he burnt his school down!.
As a teenager he was no better!. He gambled, smoked, drank, etc!. He even went in gun fights and had bullets stuck in his arms and even one in his chest!.
But he fell in love with a woman, and that changed him!. He married the woman, but that woman was already married to another man!

Well this pretty well outlines Andrew Jackson with some serious mistakes!. And they were not gunfights back then!. They were duels, affairs of honor!. He did not recite the declaration of independence as a teenager because he was fighting the British in the south as a private when he was thirteen during the Revolution!.
