Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: well there's no way to generalize but, they certainly could not vote!. most employment was not open to them, domestic work, farm work and maybe some care work (beauty salon etc!.) and stuff!. Not allowed to get into higher education!. Mostly poor!. Mostly cooking and caring for children!.
