Having read a lot about King Richard , my opinion is that the Duke of Buckingham did away with them, he was a very ambitious and nasty man!.

There is no real proof though, who it was that did away with the princes - only suspects !

Well, the Tower is near a river, and diseases may be born in a river!. So some disease could have wafted up to the boys and killed him!. Richard may have felt that he could take the blame, so just had them buried without anyone knowing!.
