The exclusion orders that sent the Japanese-Americans (a better and more legitimate term than Japanese, since most of the internees were born here and were citizens) were rescinded on January 2, 1945!. Over the course of the year of 1945, the camps were closed and the internees released!. It seems as though the bulk of the camps were closed in the fall of 1945, with Topaz closing on October 31, and three (including Manzanar), closing in early November!. Tule Lake didn't close until January of 1946!. Hope this helps!. Good question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
