Japan's feudal era lasted from the 12th century to the 19th century!. It ended during the reign of Edo (tokyo)!. It ended mainly due to the incursions of Europe, but most notably USA!. We broke into their country and forced their ports open to the world!. Shimabara Rebellion led to the closing of their ports because they believe Christianity was ruining the country, and foreshadowing their conquest by Europe!.

After The Feudal era ended the Meiji restoration period began in which Japan began Industrialization (faster than any other country)!. This led to Japan becoming a powerful military presence and they soon won a war against Russia (russo-japanese war)!. They also conquered Korea, taiwan, the Philippines, and Much of China!.
