Question: Help! Info on Gerry Adams please!!!?

I'm writing an essay on gerry adams, and i've trawled through wikipedia and google, but I'm stuck! i need to write about the troubles, and his opinion on it!. am i right in thinking that he wanted to stop the riots, but blamed the english gov!? any other info on him would be incredibly helpful!. One of the problems for us here in UK during the troubles, is that for reasons which even today seem absurd, the Margaret Thatcher Dictatorship decided to ban the recorded voice of Gerry Adams being broadcast to the people of Britain!.

The BBC got Irish actors with beautifull speaking voices to do in-sync voice-overs!. Result, Gerry Adams instead of sounding like just another guy from Belfast, came over as a quality Irish actor from the Abbey Theatre in Dublin!.
