january 1st 2002 is the date when the EURO replaced the french FRANC as the official currency in France !.my question is not especially about bread , but inexpensive , everyday things ( sandwich , cafe express , ticket de metro ) Www@QuestionHome@Com

you are very, very, very unlikely to find an accurate answer around here!.

-will they remember that particular date!? Or a sentiment felt in the following period!? (months!? years!?)
-there's "normal" inflation that will be attributed to an irregular event
-even before the official change in currency, there were euro's in circulation!. also, many shops showed their prices both in francs as in euro's!.

Ask your question in the French part of yahoo!. The French actually still put both prices in Euros and in Francs on their receipts when you go shopping (at least they still did 2 years ago)!. Older French people still prefer talking about Francs!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
