Question: How much did stamps cost in the 1930's!?
I need to know the Exact price of stamps in the United States in the 30's!. If you can find a picture of one that would be double great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

At the beginning of the 30's, stamps cost 2c!. Then in 1934, they went up to 3c!. My mother worked as a secretary in an advertising agency in Chicago at the time!. Companies in Chicago responded by hiring messenger services to deliver bills and checks!. Then the U!.S!. Post Office informed them that they were breaking the law!. The companies went back to postage stamps!.

It would depend on the year!. A first class US postage stamp was 2¢ in 1930 and rose to 3¢ in 1931!. The rate remained at that rate until August, 1958!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
