Much Medieval art is in Bibles or prayer books!. Art of the time was primarily to glorify the Church!.

Jean, Duc de Berry has a famous Book of Hours http://www!.christusrex!.org/www2/berry/ and many of the illuminations are quite famous

The Bayeux tapestry is another famous medieval work of art: http://www!.bayeuxtapestry!.org!.uk/
