Hi, I'm a history major!. What I'm most interested in pursing with this degree is a career involving museum work!. With that said there are several careers one can pursue with a degree in history; some of which include journalism and law!.

I graduated with a Major in History and Geography, minor poli sci NON teaching!. I am an executive for a major Fortune 500 company!. However, I still read a lot and discuss history etc!. with others!. I may end up at a museum or a school of some sort someday!. I didnt really have a plan, I knew as long as I didnt want to be a doctor or lawyer, having a degree period would be helpful for a job!. So I picked a topic I enjoyed!. and i was right!. If you are in school now most Universities have a career center with info like "what to do with a major in: "

I was a history major with a concentration in military history (Temple University, '00)!. I currently work in risk management at a large corporation!.

I was highly interested in obtaining my doctorate in history until one day I opened the newspaper to read an article about a woman who received her history doctorate from a very prestigious university!. After 15 years and numerous publications, she was working per diem, making roughly $20K per year!. Since I wanted a family, I realized that obtaining a history doctorate was not the best career choice for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
