I'll assume you mean WWII!. But then of course there's East or West Germany!. So I'll assume you mean West Germany, which was occupied by France, Britain, and the U!.S!. while the East was occupied by the USSR!. They benefited mostly from moderate reparations (unlike after WWI when the huge reparations they were forced to pay caused bitterness and economic stagnation)!. The Marshall Plan proposed by the U!.S!. funneled billions of dollars into Germany's rebuilding!. The large number of occupation troops, and the money they spent, helped as well!. You could say West Germany benefited by the fact that the Cold War between the West and the USSR worked to its advantage!. It made more sense to the West to build West Germany as an economic and democratic power as a roadblock to the Soviet-Communist presence in East Europe!. The fact that West Germany could remain stable thanks to the influx of money from the U!.S!. and to a lesser extant Britain helped ensure a relatively smooth transition to democracy!. Economic instability is one of the biggest threats to political stability!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do you mean WWI or WWII!?

They recovered from WWI due to Adolf Hitler's wise ability to increase his country's wealth andinvest in neccesities

After WWII they slowly recovered with little help from other areas of Europe!. Slowly rebuilding their economy and returning to a country and not a warring nation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
