It is possible that it could have been avoided!. If the Treaty of Versaille had not been so punishing to the Germans, they may not have been so resentful and beat down that Hitler found a receptive audience!. If after WW1 the Allies had helped rebuild Germany instead of kick her while she was down, it's possible that Hitler would never have been able to get elected chancellor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is possible albeit tenuously to trace cause and effect for the events that led to the outbreak of WW11 to the harsh reparations and territorial loss of France following the Franco Prussian war of the 1870's!. Given that historical consequences have to be faced I do not believe that WW11 could have been avoided!.

The Allies were heartily sick of war and economically ruined after WW1 and were in no position to faced down the resurgent military threat of Germany led by an unstable dictator!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

In hindsight all wars are avoidable what was important was the real time choices that were made!. In that case no it could not have been avoided, the Germans felt wronged by the treaty of Treaty of Versailles, and the rest of the world had to respond!. In the end both sides are at fault and neither could have done anything real time to change what happened!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hitler and Mussolini both came back from World War I very upset about how their respective countries were treated after the war!. Both the Italians and the Germans were oppressed people who were in the midst of a depression after World War I!. By Mussolini and Hitler giving hope to their people they got them to follow them blindly!. Even if Hitler had been killed in World War I there was no way to prevent the Second World War!. If it wasn't Hitler leading the Germans into war it would have been someone else!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes if the Allies had stopped Germany in 1935 when it began to rearm!.!.!.!.!.they were viloating the treaty of Versailles when they started to esablished a tank force and a air force witch they were not allowed to under the treaty if the western allies had declared war a forcfuly disarmed germany and Hitler than before he was fully armed we would have avoided the whole war!.!.!.!.

that being said the Nazis were masters deception and every diplomat right up to 1939 were convinsed the nazis wanted peace!.!.!.!.So there really was no willl to go to war with gemany till 1939 because the west of the world was convinsed that they wanted pecace!.!.!.!.However i think that with out ww2 the world would be differnt as we know it the jet engine would have never been invented neither would the assult rifle and the wourlds economies would have taken alotn longer to recopver from the depression if it wern't for ww2Www@QuestionHome@Com

Inevitable!. With the Germans, Austrians and Italians still pissed about the Treaty of Versailles and how aggressive Hitler himself as a commander was, it is very unlikely that Hitler, Germany and the axis powers forget about all the land and money (due to reparations) they lost because of the Treaty of Versailles!. There was no way Germany wouldn't of not invaded Poland to get their lands back and if the allies did not join at the times that they did, Germany definitely would be a lot stronger than they were when the allies did enter!. The allies had to join, or the world would be a lot different than how we know it today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes if Hitler hadn't taken over Germany and instead there had a peaceful leader!. After all most countries were still recovering from ww1! Or if Hitler was assassinated!. Most of the german generals wanted to end the war at the time, Hitler was the only one who wanted it!. Although he used propaganda to convince people it was the right thing!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If France, Britain, and other countries in western Europe had stopped Germany and Italy earlier, before they were prepared, it could have a bloody, but probably short, war!. Japan would be isolated, and I doubt that they would have wanted to take on the USA and the colonial powers by themselves!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes it could be stopped!. If the European countries would listen to President Wilson during the peace treaty signing ending the First World War!. Wilson's ideas for peace were fair to all sides of the war!. It would not create the conditions that allow Hitler to gain power!. Instead The Allies wanted to punish the German Nation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Possibly had the allies of WWI had a better resolution instead of blaming Germany for everything!. Then again who knows, Japan could have begun their fight however I believe that would have been a war between the USA and Japan with about the same outcomeWww@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. If appeasement hadn't been pursued, the Nazis could have been stopped when they attempted to reoccupy the Ruhr!. It is unlikely Hitler could have survived in power without the support of the army after this point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, if Russia hadn't signed the non-agression pact with Germany!. The non-agression pact made Germany feel safe in war on her Western front!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes if France and england had made a move when Germany had siesed back land that was formaly theres instead of following the concept of apeisment Nevel was wrong there was not pease in our time Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not by the Allies, who started in a position of weakness and had to cope with aggressive enemies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, if the Treaty of Versailles would have not sucked as much as it did, WWII could well have been avoided!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If The Great Depression was the cause that Hitler wanted Germany to rise above, because it was doing quite badly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not really!. unless Hitler magically turned into a nice guy, then WWII was inevitable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
