Politics
1!.50s~70s, S!.Korea was ruled by military regime!. Retired generals kept being a president!. Especially, 3rd president Park Jung Hee played a huge role in history of S!.Korea!. During his 17 years of regime, Korea suceeded to build its foundation and achieved great economic growth!. On the other hand, he is still being blamed for being a dictator!. But it is also true that he is respected by many, for what he has done for Korea!.

After 3 military dictators, Korea became a democratic country by citizen revolution!. In year of 1987, first presidential election by common citizens finally happened!. Now it is sometimes considered to be TOO DEMOCRATIC because power of president is too weak to do something big!.

2!.Economics
S!.Korea economics began to grow when Park Jung Hee became a president and began his plan of 5 year plan of ecnomics!. One of the poorest country once, its economic size got 20 times bigger after Park Jung Hee's regime!. S!.Korea still kept grow into a bigger economic power, it is now the 13th biggest economy in the world!. It was also the country grow fast next to current china in modern time!.

During 60s, S!.Korea was poor and undeleoped compare to N!.Korea!.

Now, S!.Korea is 177 times richer than N!.Korea!.

3!.Religion

Buddhism and Christianity(became popular in 20th century) are two major religions in Korea!. To add, confucianism is also very influential(even more influential than those two major religion) in Korea, but it is considered as a philosophy, not a religion!.
