India is a amazing country with lot of history, that we forget to keep a track of!. The answer to this question is not simple!. If you consider all the things like Ramyana and Mahabharata to be true, then there are lot of kings that have a very good name!.
There were many kings in the north and south that have ruled this wonderful country!. some of them showed their might in the wars and the others showed their power in well established rulling of the kingdom!. so my friend it is very hard to answer in one word or to list the names of the kings in India!.
The best way to know is to refer the vast volumes of the books found in the library and get your own opionin!.
