Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Most obvious examples come from Socrates, Plato and Aristotle!.

- "Know thyself"

- Socrates' method of inquiry into subjects etc

- Methods of acquiring knowledge

- the synoptic view of ethics, metaphysics, reason, knowledge, and human life!.

- the notion that knowledge gained through the senses always remains confused and impure,

- the contemplative soul that turns away from the world can acquire "true" knowledge!.

- The soul alone can have knowledge of the Forms, the real essences of things, of which the world we see is but an imperfect copy!.

So the influence that classical Greek philosophy had on the modern world is, as you say, more culturally!. What i mean by this is a lot of these Greek ideas have become culturally believed by many to be "the ways of living and gaining the most out of your life"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Classical Greek philosophy left permanent mark on the Western society!. Without it, our civilization will look completely different, because the way we think about our own morality, culture, achievement, political and social fabric, and mortality is all altered by Greek Classical philosophy!. It was later adopted by many Christian writers and philosopher and shaped Christian doctrines well into modern era, before scientific revolution!. There is many examples how later cultures were affected by Greeks!.

First of all, Greeks invested heavily their thought into creating political structure, that we call democracy, the founding principle of the West!. The thoughts of free man, civil freedom, and unbounded intellectual reasoning had been possible because of Greeks!. Plato’s Republic was well copied and studied throughout the ages, because it discuss ideal political model that was (and is) the issue for every citizen!.
The Greeks debated the nature of free will, the purpose of life, and morality!. Up to these days, we still debate, if we have truly free will, or our life bounded to live with harmony of the nature!. The Aristotle and many others taught us, how to reason and use logic, which is inseparable from scientific research and university education!. Classical philosophy argued about the nature of the Universe, time, space, and most basic component of the matter!. Without such thinking, modern scientific tools, space travel, etc, would not come easily or would not be developed at all!.
The Greeks influenced Christianity that adopted many classical themes, such as immortality of the soul, the meaning of sin, and each one’s morality!. The definition of virtue and righteousness (or separating good from wrong) found its way into early Christian thinking and into present era!.

Beside the Western Civilization, and obvious Orthodox Christianity, Greek philosophy also got hold of Judaism and Islam!. Today 2!.5 billion of people are some way or the other somewhat influenced to the ancient Greek philosophy!.
