I have a theory!.!.!.!.!.!. it is because the Jew's were rich and most over People were starving to death!. One afternoon we got on a discussion about the same question you are asking!. Based on our conversation much of which I was able to verify over the years, in the years prior to the war Germany was in a recession/depression Jobs were scarce and there was not a good outlook in the near future!. When things like that happen people are looking to place blame!. When they looked around it was noted that the Jews had all the monies and all the businesses (retail stores, clothiers, other businesses that met the basic needs of a person)!. It was very easy for those who had nothing to point the finger to those who appeared to have everything and say it is all their fault!. The jews became the target and because they were for the most part easily identifiable they were rounded up and their assets were siezed by the goverment for distribution!. Initally they were placed in camps but soon the german government realized that it was not economically feasable to continue to detain such a vast number of prisoners / detainees!. Anti-Semitism has existed in Europe since late Roman times; they were persecuted, made to live in ghettoes, sometimes subjected to murders and pogroms but they were never massacred with the intent of eliminating their kind from the face of the earth!. It is also not quite accurate that the Jews were envied because of their wealth!. Majority of them were poor due to discrimination yet they have always been persecuted!. It was only when certain madmen arose in history that the feeling of disgust and fear boiled over to become homicidal!. Unluckily for Germany in the 1930's, they allowed Hitler unrestrained power which he used to destroy European Jewry!. It was a mix of diffrent reason for him!. The one you mentioned and the other reason was, the Nazis with Hitler thought the jews were responsible for germanys lose in wwI!. Another reason could be bad experience with Jews!. Prejudices against jews and radical theories in magazines and books of that time possibly brought him to a Jew-Hater and racist!. Lot of stuff got written about Hitler!. It`s said Hitlers Mother was a strong roman-chatolic!. It is known that Hitler wanted to be a professional painter at the academie of arts in vienna, but were refused like dozens others with him by a jew!. He tried it later but was refused again!. Such things and stories told to him by others who got to do with jews, may affirmed his racist believes!. Like "the majority of jews generally is bad" Thats toally dumb to think so!. Just you know some bad people doesnt mean all people are bad, but hitler was a human beeing and human beeing are diffrent and act different!. Eduard Bloch was the only jew who got protected by the Gestapo in Linz and who could immgrate to the USA - orderd personally by Hitler!. Other positive experience is his award!.
