Question: Presidents during the 1800s!?
My history teacher emailed me and said "You may also choose a book focusing on historical events in the 1800s! Presidential biographies are always good choices!."

So, what were some historical events in the 1800s!?
And, who were the presidents during the 1800s!?

(If you know any good nonfiction books or biographies at least 250 pages about this subject feel free to list them!.)

Thanks in advance for any answers!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say steer clear of Lincoln, just because most people will probably choose to do lincoln and the teacher will probably be sick of reading about him!.

If you want to do a president, Andrew Jackson might be good, there is probably alot out there about his trail of tears!.

If you don't want to do a president you could try someone like Susan B Anthony or Frederick Douglass!. Both were instrumental figures in womens suffrage and abolition and there would be lots of biographies on them!.

Another interesting part of history to right about would be the Populist Movement!. you may even find a book that brings into the discussion Frank Baums The Wonderful WIzard of OZ as a metaphor for the populist beliefs!. (theres a lot so I wont get into it!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
