Question: Why was Tutankhamun the greatest Egyptian pharaoh!? What did he do!? If not, who else who really is the greatest
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
King Tut ruled too briefly for a proper evaluation of his rule!.
(famous only 'cause his tomb intact!.)

Who was the greatest!? My opinion was that it was Iknaton, who tried to make the Egyptian religion monotheistic - centred on the rule of only one God!.!.!.!.because he had the most long-term impact on the world!. Monotheism was a relatively new concept in the West - He may have been the inventor of it!. His rule had much influence on the development of Judaism, which was once a pluralist (opposite to monotheist) religion!.

Hatshupset may be the greatest, because she was the first great female ruler!.

Who would the average Egyptian pick!? Probably Menes, their very first ruler!. Maybe Ahmose I, who liberated their country from foreign rule!.

Ramses II is also a good pick, because he built more than any other pharo (Though some pharos 'cheated' here by
chipping off the names of prior pharos, and chiseling on
their own) , and was very successful in military affairs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

From what I remember from world history classes, he wasn't that great of a Pharaoh!. He's only famous because his tomb was found intact!. He was only a boy when he died, so he never really had the chance to do anything really great!. There are other pharaohs who accomplished much greater things!. Hatchepsut, for instance, was a great female Pharaoh!. Ramesses was possibly the greatest, that we know of!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've never seen anyone claim Tut was the greastest pharoh!. Tut is noteworthy as tombrobbers had not robbed his tomb prior to it's discovery in the 1920s!. This gave the world a glimpse of just what all pharohs were buried with!.

Of the other pharohs, Ramesses II, also known as Ramesses the Great, might be the most likely to be considered the greatest as his was the longest reign!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He wasn't the greatest at all, he's just the only one whose tomb was intact when discovered in modern time!. If I had to pick a greatest it would be Ramses II, because he's most commonly known, or Khufu, because he built the biggest Pyramid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, he was not!. He became Pharaoh at a young age and died at a young age, achieving very little!. The only reason people know so much about him is because when his tomb was found, it was one of the few that had not been plundered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Barely noteworthy it was his untouched tomb that made him so interestingWww@QuestionHome@Com
