Coke is made from the baking of coal in ovens at the tempature of about 1800 degrees!. After a period of hours the remains in the oven is almost pure carbon, and burns hot and for a long time!. Byproducts of baking coal is Oil, ammonia sulfate, amonnia gas, benzine, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
