yes, a great statesman!. Born in thorappalli, krishnagiri district on 10th dec, 1878!.

A lawyer, statesman and a writer and a Hindu!. First governor general of india and 2nd governor general of free india!. one of the first recipients of india's highest civilian award ''Bharath Rathna'' in1954!. When he was 37, his wife expired and he took family responsibility and took care of children!. He took active part in politics 1900!. He had a good relationship with many freedom fighters including va!.voo!.chidambaram pillai!. In 1919 Rajaji chose to follow mahatma gandhi, who has just returned from south africa!. in 1921 Rajaji was selected as the general secretary of the congress party!.and he cam close with jawaharlal nehru, vallabai patel, moulana abul kalam azad, Rajendra prasad etc!., A brilliant lawyer, Rajaji once considered as heir of mahatma!. Nehru wrote about Rajaji in his autobiography of how Rajaji's ''brillian intellect, selfless character and penetrating powers of analysis have been a tremendous asset to our cause''!. He was compared to ''chanakya''!. Sardar vallabai patel had always identified Rajaji one of his close companions, and had a cordial relationship with Rajaji!.
