One can split hairs but Auschwitz-Birkenau (it's "official name") camps are only separated by a kilometer or so!. It's very near the Polish town of Oswiecim just under 100km west of Krakow!. If you look carefully as you make the turn off to drive to the Visitor's Center you can still see the spur line that ran into the camps!. Highly recommend a visit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
