there are japanese ships and some american ones lost along the marianas, even the USS Indianapolis is down there somewhere,as yet unfound!.!.maybe theres even ships at the bottom of the challanger deep,no one knows!.Most extremely deep wrecks found are in the 4800-4900 meter range, but theres a lot deeper places where ships have been lost ,including the marianas, and just not found yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What makes you think that "no ship is lying on the ground of the Mariana Trench"!? If a ship foundered above the Mariana Trench, wouldn't it sink to the sea bed, however far down that was!?

Seriously; ships have been wrecked all over the world's oceans for centuries, even millennia!. There are thousands of them that we know nothing about!. It's utterly impossible to know which and where the deepest one is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have you ever heard of the Battle of the Phillipines Sea!? AKA the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot!. It was a sea battle between the US and Japanese Navies in June 1944!. Japan lost 3 aircraft carriers as well as other vessels!. Undoubtedly those ships went to the bottom of the Marianas Trench!. Estimated depth approx 30,000 feet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
