Chivalry was the code of conduct for knight's at the time when the Fuedal System (medieval Europe) operated!.

Aspects of the Code of Chivalry during the 14th and 15 centures (the Medieval era) were!.!.!.
knights had to protect women, the poor, the underprivileged, fight bravely in battle, be faithful to the Church and King, be a good Christians, administer justice, to be truthful and never to turn one's back on a foe!.

Many knights, however, did not live up to these expectations and got away with it, however according to the rules they should have had their spurs broken and been disgraced!.
