That is an old myth that Catholic priests had sex with nuns, that convents were merely brothels for the Catholic clergy, and the children born were immediately killed!. Those stories were part of anti-Catholic movements, including that of the Ku Klux Klan!. Anti-Catholic propaganda were prevelant in the first half of the twentieth century, including smears on presidential candidate Al Smith!.
