It was the Native Americans that we can thank for the Tobaccos that were introduced to the Italian an Spanish explorers!. Maybe it's irony and, without knowing, a way to get even with he invaders!.

Other then this, a number or herbs and plain weeds can be smoked but, there quality and the outcome could be questionable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Peace Pipe Ceremony!.

The peace pipe is loaded with tobacco, and only tobacco, or a tobacco variation called kinnic kinnick , which is the bark of the red willow and non-hallucinatory!. The bark of the red willow has a pleasant aroma, and served in the old days as a substitute, when tobacco was scarce on the great plains!. No form of mind-altering substance is condoned by Native American religion traditionalists!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The native tobacco is very strong, apparently, and this was smoked, naturally!. Remember that John Rolfe made tobacco a profitable crop by crossing it to make it milder!.

There was also something called Kinnickinick, which was a variety of different things, I'm not sure what!.

Hemp, my dears, is not native to north america!. It was brought over as a cash crop by the Europeans!.

I know, when I was a college student I found that news pretty disappointing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

natural tabacco or regional herbs (depending on tribe and region) is what they smoked!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
