Position:Home>History> A Level history own project choice.?

Question: A Level history own project choice!.!?
For the second year of my A Level in History, I have to do an own project which will end up with a timed paper being written, and it's worth 1/3 of my whole course- I'm angling for a good uni so I have to do well ;]

Which do you think would be the best to study- keeping in mind practicalities such as amount of information avaliable, as well as just simply how complicated the events were (obviously the less the better)!. I have an equal interest in each and so I can't decide!

1) Chinese Cultural Revolution!.
2) Russia- The overthrow of the Provisional Government!.
3) The Hungarian Uprising of 1956!.

Furthermore, if anybody could recomment any good books on any of the above, even just personal histories which I could learn from to a certain extent, I would be very grateful!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Chinese cultural revolution!.

Read Wild Swans!. Great first person account of a woman growing up in China during it!. (her parents were influential members of the Communist Party who lost power during the Cultural Revolution!.)

Ooh, even better!. If you're British (you said "A levels"), I believe the author, Jung Chang, is living in London currently!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
