He disliked it as being the way that the powerful held the under classes down!. This violated he idea of Civil Rights!. He was also against the idea of partition of India an Pakistan!.

It has been said that the caste system i India has held it back from speedier advancement due to it's in ability to accept concept and ideas fro members of the larger lower castes!.
