I always thought of indentured servants as people from Europe who wanted to come to America and in return for passage onboard ship they served in their sponsor's home for a number of years!. Reasons for leaving Europe included factors such as religious persecution and economic conditions that were oppressive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
