Question: Where could I buy historical WW2 weapons from!?
There are two weapons I am interested in buying: a British Sten Mk II sub-machine gun and a German Walther P38 pistol!. I'm basically out in the cold, and I'm not sure how to move on from where I am!. I've been trying my luck online but I haven't found any of these two available!. Does anyone know any private gun collectors in the NYC area where I could possibly buy these!? Do you think I might have to go into the European market to find them!?!? I was hoping to find both of these weapons fully functional and authentic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
gunbroker!.com and auctionarms!.com would both work for the p-38 ,they are everywhere and not overly expensive!.!.the sten gun would be found at a class 3 dealer ,someone that specialises in NFA weapons, and I think may be illegal in NYC ,tho possibly legal in the rest of NY !.!.not even sure how you go about owning a handgun like the P-38 in NYC, uptight gun laws!.!.!.you might try strumgewvher!.com (spelling may be off) they have a sten or 2 listed most of the time or maybe even craigslist for your area!. Having fired the sten quite a bit, it is one of the lousiest SMG's ever made and theres a lot better things to spend your money on,but they are around and not hard to get ,if legal in your area, the paperwork takes about 3 months and there is a tax fee of $200 !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some WW2 weapons are readily avilable and fairly cheap!. Rissian Mosin Nagants, Enfields, some mausers, Springfields!. Unless you have an Automatic Weapons license, forget about a Sten!. Check out local gun shows and Military shows (usually have cooler items such as medals and uniforms)!. Check out Gunbroker!.com for weapons, but you will need a C&R license to order or have your local gun shop to work the deal for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
