Pizarro demonstrated what was worst about the early European explorers, especially the Spanish who were mainly interested in gold and silver!. He was a scoundrel, a master of deceit and treachery, and would do whatever he could to advance his own importance and wealth and prestige!. The Spanish enslavement of the Indians in South and Central America would become examples of the cruel treatment handed out by the Europeans!. While we condemn it today, in the 1500s it was considered the norm for exploration!. The American colonies also interfered with the Native Americans they encountered!. Again, today we condemn our treatment of the American Indian but the English settlers often tried to live with the Indians they encountered but the Indian and European life-style was doomed to conflict from the beginning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
